As x is inverse proportion to y
x ∝ 1/y
Let take k as constant. so
x = k×1/y
x = k/y --> assume 1st eqn
k=x×y
According to first condition when x=3 then y=4
So putting value in above equation we get value of k
k=12
According to 2nd condition value of y=6
Now put value of K and Y in 1st equn
x=12/6
x=2
x ∝ 1/y

x = 3,
y = 4.
Now,
xy = 3 × 4 = 12
If y = 6,
then
⇒ xy = xy
⇒ 12 = 6x
⇒ x = 12 ÷ 6
⇒ x = 2
x = 3,
y = 4.
Now,
xy = 3 × 4 = 12
If y = 6,
then
⇒ xy = xy
⇒ 12 = 6x
⇒ x = 12 ÷ 6
⇒ x = 2
